You Have to Free a Lot of Frogs: Lessons Learned from Frogger

In Chapter 4 we reframe setbacks (ahem, failure) as success in progress. The reality is as long as we’re alive we’re learning, and we all have an easter egg to share with the world!

Who are the players in your class or in your home? What challenges have they recently mastered? What are they currently working on? And what can they share?

You’ve no doubt read the many times I’ve cited the power of play as both low-stakes and iterative, now is the time to put your v-bucks where your brain is and model just how much awesome is abound in your learning space.

Sure, we’re all n00b’s when we begin, but we can create our own riff on a leaderboard and highlight the myriad skills and tricks of every player.

Download your own version of Level Up 13 from #GameOnBrainOn and if you really want to be an enchanter, add the names of YOUR learners to the list.

Here’s a pro-tip: Download the free chrome extension Kami and annotate (or hack) Level Up 13 as your learners become game masters (GM’s) for the epic win (FTEW)!

Better yet, ask your learners to add their OWN names, skills, and learning in the works. Just watch as your community of learning comes to life as play becomes a way of reframing failure as the process of learning.
